I always like listening and watching people who can beat box. But when i stumbled upon this video i was floored. This guy has talent. I never saw anybody this good and he makes it look so easy. Take a look:

Song of the Week

This weeks featured is a little known acustic guitar player from Sweden. He is classified as an indie classical folk singer. He had played guitar for no-name bands before he went solo in 2003. He released Veneer his debut album then. His first solo album was made up of many acoustic remakes of popular songs. His career suddenly took off. He then released his secdond album in 2007 called In Our Nature. Which included more percussion beats and was composed of all original songs. Jose really has a nice sound to him and he has a very mellow sound. Here's on of his more well known songs a cover from the European band "The Knife"

This is a hilarious video that is by Andy Samburg. He has made lots of Saturday Night Live Digital Shorts, which are usually just a short comedy flick like a music video. He had done earlier clips with Chris Parnel called "Lazy Sunday" and another one with Justin Timberlake called "Dick in a Box". Those being the most popular of course. But this is the miost recent one and it has to deal with the olympics in space. Hope you lik eit.

The election coming up has caused alot of comotion, as it should. It also has ispired the comedy satires about the election. This is a video of a satire they did about Sarah Pain, the republican's vice president nominee next to John McCain. The video has two parts one of the actual skit and another of the actual Sarah Palin video. Its pretty funny, take a look:

This whole weekend I have been listening to none other than Lil Wayne.... again. I realize that I am listening to him way to much but if I'm fair he does come out with catchy and new songs frequently. And I was to compare him to anything I would say right now he is the modern day Beatles. I know that is a profound statement but I think that he has probably released more Cd's and mixtapes than the Beatles. This song is from one of the first mixtapes he came out with.

Here is a semi-funny video. I think it's funny just because of the pure imagination in the video. I don't understand why somebody would ever want to ski done a escalator. But obviously somebody wanted to do it. And it was funny how he did it. Take a look for yourself.

Well I was actually just shown this video over at my friends. I don't really think this is school appropriate or anything if I was being completely objective. But i do believe this is adult appropriate. This was shot apparently at a kids birthday party. The thing is supposed to be a large worm... You be the judge.

Song of the Week

I'll admit it. I slacked over the past week so i am about to do all three of my weeks posts in one night. I was looking forward to fall break so much that i completely forgot about any school work this being among many things. So here it is, three posts in one night, sorry.
I have always been a fan of Justin Timberlake. Since the N'sync days I always enjoyed him. I also liked T.I.'s new CD paper trail. I knew JT and TI had done a collaboration earlier on Justins latest CD, so I decided to give this song a try. I really enjoyed it.

This is another amazing video. It makes you wonder about how that happened. Make sure you watch the whole video especially the end of it. I have wondered how it is even possible. the only way I can think that it's possible is the footage had to be fixed. I don;t know you be the judge!

This video is outright amazing. But i will warn you to turn the volume up to listen to this. Make sure you keep your eyes on the car! it's amazing!

Song of the Week

I really have been putting off this post, I have so much to do this week. But here it is the song of the week. One of the most infamous bands in American history: Red Hot Chili Peppers. RHCP have been around for almost two and a half decades. And they have gone though their fair share of band members but they came out with a two cd set a year ago. Called, stadium arcadium, where they redifined the bands sound and made a huge come back. They are a great band I really suggest you take a look at some of there older stuff. Like this:

This is a video of a good friend of mine. He is a really talented guy and he is hilarious. This is one of his first video's and I admit the language is bad, but it is a very funny clip. Hopefully you understand his twisted humor.

I really haven't stayed up with the news lately but I did watch the debate between Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain the other night. I admittedly thought it would be boring but I found a lot of the program was interesting. Here's the whole debate of the 2008 election. And feel free to fast forward through some parts. It does get a little boring. But on a different note it is important to inform not only myself but whoever reads this blog. You be the judge to see who won the debate.

Song of the week

This featured song isn't exactly the best song out there but it is well known. Led Zeppelin is one of the most private and smart bands on the market today. For example, it wasn't until very recently that Zeppelin was offered on iTunes (I can't imagine the funds Robert Plant, Jimmy Paige, and John Paul Jones were paid). The song, Rock N' Roll, was the first song ever and probally will be the only song to apper on a commercial. This was one of the biggest suprises ever mainly because Led Zeppelin has some most of the sought after songs. Which brings up another point why haven't Zeppelin songs been used for games like guitar hero and rock band? I'll tell you now you will never see their songs on a game like that, Why? Zeppelin doesn't do do that, frankly I think it's the money, but Jimmy Paige would publicly disagree. But in an old rare interview with Paige the reporter asked "What do you see when the curtain opens and there are tens of thousands of cheering fans in front of you" and Paige replied,"All that money." Which leads me to believe it's really all about the money... Or, is it really keeping the integrity of the band? Either way it has worked.

This is a video of a wonderfully talented comedian who is a genius. Demetri Martin received a full tuition paid ride to Yale and a full ride to New York University for his law degree. He had planned on becoming a lawyer and really didn't know what he wanted to do with his life. He had one year left to finish law school and dropped out in the easiest year. Demetri finally realized his life long dream, to become a comedian. Demetri choose correctly, if you would ask me. Take a look:

I was looking for performances of Neil Peart on drums. But it turned into rock and roll drums.... And then it turned into keyboard drumming? I think it was an instructional video that turned into him rocking out. Well take a look at this and you will understand.

Song of the Week

This is a good song that I have always enjoyed. It's a taste of Bay Area music (Yay Area). This group of rappers are called The Pack. They were discovered by another infamous Yay area rapper called Too Short. They had a break through song in 2006 called Vans. They then released 2 cd's and a few LP's since then. The band has another Cd on its way for 2008 as well. Its basically four guys that got lucky and got a record deal.

A great example of wiki contests. This video is by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band put out a video that invited all the fans to make a music video for this song because they never had time to shoot it. Hundreds of contestants sent in videos and this was chosen. Here you go:

Song of the week: Do My Thang
The Artist: Lil' Wayne

Everybody knows him. Lil' Wayne is the most popular rapper at the present time. The only part of the song I like is when he raps this:

Hit Em' Wit Da Glock
Put Em' In A Colma
Now Wat Dat Boy Got? Um, Glicoma

I just thought it was the funniest lyric ever. Its a hilarious rap.

Well I couldn't find any decent and amazing clips from Youtube today or yesterday, so I'm going to post one of my all time favorites. It features Robert Hoffman as the Urban Ninja. Some may know him from Nick Cannons wild and out. Anyway it is a just a overall funny clip, well enough talk... here it is:

Sept. 2

Well this is my first post. I have a few ideas what to do for blog and here they are. I will have a "song of the week" which i will post usually on Monday or the first post of the week when i can. Then the other two posts will be of you tube videos. Why not transform my time wasting activity into something that actually is useful? And it will also go hand in hand with the seminars name: "You and Youtube" SOOOOO here it is the first song of the week, i will try to find links to either the artist page and a link to the music if I can. i will also describe a little about the artist.

The song of the week:
"Handlebars"- Flobots

This is Flobots new hit single and is a very neat beat. The strong drum beat is what really makes the song not to mention some really neat lyrics. And i really don't want to bore the reader so basically the band is a group of college kids. they basically started the band for fun and are having a good time with it.
